The people who keep the secret
We are a small, island-based team of designers, planners and photographers who do one thing — and do it beautifully: stage the proposal of a lifetime in Santorini.
Proposal Santorini is a four-person team — designer, planner, client care and photography director — based in Oia and on the island year-round. We have designed and staged hundreds of proposals across Santorini, for a limited number of couples each season rather than at volume.
Our Story
It started with one sunset.
Proposal Santorini is a luxury marriage-proposal planning company based in Oia, Santorini, Greece, designing, styling, coordinating and photographing surprise proposals across the island for a limited number of couples each season.
Years ago, our founder helped a friend propose on a quiet Oia terrace — sourcing the flowers, lighting the candles, timing it all to the sunset. The look on both their faces was the beginning of Proposal Santorini.
Since then we have designed and staged hundreds of proposals across the island, from candle-lined cliffs to private catamarans. We are not a wedding factory and we never will be. We take a limited number of proposals so that each one gets our full attention, creativity and discretion.
We live here year-round. We know the island's light, its hidden corners, its rhythms and its people — and we use that knowledge to make your moment effortless. It is what lets us act as your Santorini proposal planner from the first idea to the final toast.

Four people: founder and designer Eleni Marinou, operations lead Nikos Pappas, client experience lead Sofia Reinhardt and photography director Yannis Spanos — plus the florists and musicians we work with each season. Small on purpose: the person who designs your proposal is on the island running it.
Hundreds across the island — we have deliberately never chased volume, taking a limited number of couples each season so founder-level attention survives. The exact count matters less than the practice: we stage proposals here week in, week out, in every month of the year.
Because depth beats breadth: our craft is this island’s terraces, managers and light. We know which corner of which terrace catches the wind, and when the castle crowd arrives. On another island we would be guessing; here we are at home.
No — proposals, symbolic elopement ceremonies and celebrations are the whole job. We do not arrange legal Greek weddings, and staying proposal-shaped keeps the team small and the attention absolute. If your plans grow into a wedding, we will happily point you to people we trust.
