“Niki and the team were excellent and made everything really easy for me. My fiancée and I had the best evening and will remember it forever. The venue for the sunset and dinner was unbelievable — I recommend it to anyone who wants a Santorini proposal.”

A candlelit table set for two on a private terrace above the caldera — where the question, the dinner and the celebration all happen in one place, with no crowd nearby.
A private dinner proposal in Santorini stages the question around an intimate, candlelit meal — most often on your own villa terrace or a reserved caldera-view setting — styled with flowers and lanterns and served by a private chef. It is the choice for couples who want total privacy and to slip straight from "yes" into celebrating.
What is a private dinner proposal?
A private dinner proposal is a marriage proposal built around a secluded, candlelit meal set exclusively for the two of you — no other diners, no audience — where the reveal and the celebration happen in the same beautiful setting. Instead of asking at a viewpoint and then finding somewhere to eat, the dinner is the moment — for couples planning a Santorini proposal who value privacy above all, the natural choice.
We style the table and the space around it — florals, candlelight, lanterns, soft music — so it feels like a scene set just for you. The question can come with an aperitif as the sun drops, between courses, or over dessert — whenever feels right, since the evening runs to your pace, not a restaurant's. It is the most personal of the ways to propose here: a private table for two, rather than a public viewpoint shared with strangers.

Where do private dinner proposals happen in Santorini?
The most popular setting is a private villa terrace or infinity-pool deck — your own accommodation or a partner villa — where we can style the space completely and reserve it entirely for you. The terrace is yours for the whole evening: we set it up before you arrive and clear it after you leave, so nothing is shared or rushed.
A private cave-house rooftop or an exclusive-use caldera-view spot work beautifully too, and all of them share Santorini's great gift: a west-facing view, so the sunset over the caldera becomes the backdrop to your table. If your villa faces the right way, we will often stage the dinner right where you are staying; if not, we will find a terrace that does. Compare the island's proposal settings, from Oia to Imerovigli.

When is the best time for a dinner proposal?
We build the evening around sunset: an aperitif and the reveal as the sun drops, then dinner into the blue hour as the caldera lights come on. That way the proposal itself happens in the warm golden light photographers love, and the meal carries the celebration on into the evening.
Because the sun sets late here — around 19:50 in April, closer to 20:40 in June and July, and earlier through the autumn — the whole timeline shifts by month, and we plan your sitting-down time backwards from it. A spring or autumn proposal means an earlier, gentler evening; midsummer means a later, warmer one. Either way, the table is ready and the light is right when you arrive.

What food and wine is served?
A private chef can build a menu around Santorini's own produce — the intensely sweet cherry tomatoes, fava, white aubergine, fresh-caught fish and the island's crisp, volcanic Assyrtiko wine — cooked and served on your terrace. If you would rather keep it relaxed, we can lay a grazing table with champagne instead of a plated dinner.
The styling is yours to shape: a draped table, candelabra and roses, hurricane lanterns and fairy lights, a colour palette that means something to you. We handle the setup and the clear-down, so you simply arrive to a finished scene. Explore private dining & champagne, and read up on the island's food and wine. The same table, without the hidden question, also anchors our honeymoon photoshoot and dinner.

A private dinner proposal is a marriage proposal built around a secluded, candlelit meal set exclusively for the two of you — no other diners and no audience — where the reveal and the celebration happen in the same beautiful setting. It usually takes place on a private villa terrace styled with flowers, candles and lanterns.
The most popular and most private setting is a villa terrace or infinity-pool deck — your own accommodation or a partner villa — which we can style completely and reserve just for you. A private cave-house rooftop or an exclusive-use caldera-view spot are lovely alternatives, all facing west for the sunset.
Yes. A private chef can build a menu around Santorini's own produce — cherry tomatoes, fava, white aubergine, fresh fish and the island's crisp Assyrtiko wine — and cook it on your terrace. If you would rather keep it relaxed, we can set a grazing table with champagne instead. See private dining & champagne.
A styled private villa dinner proposal starts from €2,600. That covers styling of your terrace, floral and candle installation, coordination and the reveal, with the private-chef dinner or grazing table, live music and photography available to add. The ring is budgeted separately, and every proposal is quoted individually. See the cost guide.
We can reserve a caldera-view restaurant table, but a public restaurant is harder to style and control, and less private for the reveal. For most couples we recommend a styled private terrace, which gives you the same view with total seclusion and no other diners nearby.
Yes. A solo violinist or guitarist for the moment, and a discreet photographer to capture the reveal and the dinner, are our two most-requested additions. Both are easily arranged and quoted with your proposal.
Ask over dinner.
Tell us your dates — we'll style the table, time the sunset and handle every detail.
